Privacy
The short version: your video never leaves your device. There is no upload step to trust.
Your videos stay on your device
VidsToGif is a local tool. When you drop a video into the converter, the file is opened by your own browser, decoded by your own browser, and encoded into a GIF by your own browser — on your device. There is no upload step in the architecture: the site has no file-receiving endpoint at all, so your clips cannot be stored, forwarded or leaked, by us or by anyone else.
What we do not have
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email collection
- No file uploads, no server-side processing, no server-side storage
- No watermarks and no paid tier — nothing to upsell you on
What the site may collect
This site measures aggregate usage with a first-party, self-hosted counter: page views, referrers, rough region, and anonymous product events (for example “a conversion finished”), stored without cookies and without IP addresses. It never sees your files or the contents of any conversion. If third-party analytics or advertising are enabled in the future, they are privacy-focused and subject to their own privacy policies.
Children’s privacy
The site does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the change will be posted on this page with an updated date.
